       In April 2008, Stephanie Ulrich (Wanamaker) of Nyack wife of Dan Ulrich of West Nyack, mother of two children ,Taylor who is 4 and Danny who is 2, was diagnosed at the young age of 34 with stage IV colon cancer. Stephanie has been employed as a teacher's assistant at Small Steps in Nyack an early intervention program for seven years. Dan has been employed as a New York City police officer with the 52 precinct in the Bronx for 14 years. He is an active member of the West Nyack Fire Department and has been for over 19 years. He is an Ex-Chief and is currently President.

Supporting Our Stephanie, Inc. is a non-profit organization that has been established to raise funds to assist the Ulrich family with offsetting the mounting medical bills and expenses incurred during her valiant battle to fight cancer.
